Dr. Lachance and his colleagues; we hope to honor his colleagues as well as the groundbreaking work done by Rev. Dr. Paul A. Lachance at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Aero Medical Laboratories (feeding U2 pilots and Mercury astronauts), at NASA (Gemini and early Apollo -Houston), and at Rutgers University, Cook College (New Brunswick, NJ) for over 40 years. Special honor to his students: At Rutgers, Dr. Lachance was a professor and chair of the Department of Food Science, director of the graduate program in food science, and a major advisor to more than 60 doctoral and master’s degree recipients. As executive director of the Nutraceutical Institute, he was responsible for a groundbreaking partnership between Rutgers and Saint Joseph’s University.Â
